Welcome to the new age

[FROM THE FITTED HAWAII FACEBOOK PAGE]
A collage of some rare, antique Hawaiian propaganda posters that we dug up in the archives of Bishop Museum. The rest of the U.S. were so ignorant about Hawaiʻi, it’s people, culture and customs that they portrayed us as a breed of imbecilic, filthy savages. Little did they know that we had already mastered the art of navigating without the use of modern technology; solely by following the stars, wind direction, ocean currents, birds, etc. We were also skilled in the art of combat (lua), managing and maintaining a thriving, nourishing ecosystem and dividing the land into subdivisions (ahupuaʻa). Bumbye you learn, ah!
